Skinny Jeans

Here’s our skinny scale. We’ve ranked these jeans from the skinniest skinny to the straight skinny. You decide which you dare to try.

Miss Sixty Eden Skinny Stretch Jeans, $219: Skinniest Skinny

This is the skinniest of the skinny, sexy tight from top to bottom; don’t go near this jean unless you’re as straight and slim as an arrow. This is a great skinny jean if you have a smaller seat and super slim thighs. Textural pocket details and eye-catching back embroidery bring dimension and interest to the tight sexy fit through the butt. You can rejoice in your thin thighs at last with a jean that was made just for them.

Chip & Pepper Skinny Jeans, $187: Extremely Skinny

Also for the super straight, this Chip & Pepper jean has a slim fit that is not quite as tight as Miss Sixty. A darker wash color and longer leg length make for an extra slim silhouette. Scrunching those extra long legs at the ankle actually has a similar effect to a boot cut, balancing out your shape by adding volume at the bottom.

Siwy Michelle: $182: Seriously Skinny

There’s a little more room for your booty in these skinny jeans. They’ve got super stretch that allows for a close fit and comfortable movement. An upward tilt at the back waist contributes to better seat coverage. Again, a darker wash and a slightly straighter leg works best for curvier women, minimizing hips and thighs for a slim straight look. The extra length that bunches slightly at the shoe is a cool trick that will make anyone’s legs look longer.

Levi’s 503 Skinny, $25: Still Skinny

This is a great skinny alternative that gives a bit more room through the hip and thigh while still maintaining that skinny vibe. If you have more of a seat and an average thigh, these will fit well and look great on you. Due to their skinny leg, they will enhance your hip curve so you have to keep that in mind. The other nice thing about these is the price. You can afford to dabble in the latest trend even if it’s only for a season or two.

J Brand Cigarette Leg, $158: Still Skinny

Clean dark finishes and an absence of embellishment have made J Brand one of the leaders of the skinny jeans trend. This jean has a bit more room through the leg so it doesn’t cling to your every curve. A slightly straighter leg like this is a good choice for those of us with larger thighs or more shape through our hips. The straight look is there without the plastered fit. You still have a perfect base for the longer, fuller tops that are such a big part of this trend.

Custom T-shirts

The first thing you’ll want to think about is if you’d like a slogan, a slogan with an image, or just an image. The pricing of custom t-shirts is usually based on how many colors the design you come up with. If you just have text with 1 color, it is way cheaper to print than say a photographic image. So if you are choosing to add an image, you’ll want that image to be as few colors as possible, unless you are ready to spend a lot.

Once you know what you want the shirt to say, you’ll want to start playing with fonts. Font selection can really improve the way the t-shirt looks. You want to choose something that is easy to read unless your goal is to have people staring at you for a while with a confused look on their face. Bolder fonts of course will print better, especially on darker colored tees. A custom tee with text that matches the graphic will be the best. So for example, you might want to pick a techno looking font for a shirt you are going to make about clubbing. Or you might want a computer font for a technical joke. The font selection for your idea is very important.

Now that you have your text ready and image if applicable, you need to choose what type of shirt it will be printed on. There are many choices available, normal tees, long sleeve, ringers, hooded sweatshirts, polo shirts, etc. There are cuts for more fitted shirts and cuts for women. Some of the better, more fashionable brand names are American Apparel, Bella, Gildan, and Royal Apparel. Of course a plain shirt is less expensive than a ringer or other more detailed shirt.

So once you have your shirt style, brand, color, text, and image picked out, you are ready to order your new customized t-shirt. There really isn’t a better way to express yourself with your clothes. I imagine with the improvements I mentioned earlier in the garment printing industry, we’ll see customizable jeans and other clothing coming soon!

Wardrobe for the Busy Man

You may be a white collar worker in a corporate office. If so, the company atmosphere will dictate your clothing choices. Working for a company with a casual atmosphere will let you opt for chinos, a few pairs of cords, and some sport shirts or tees, perhaps with a blazer or two and some great cardigans for cooler weather; add some stylish loafers to finish the look. You may still want a business suit or two and some ties in case you have business meetings, either in-house, or at another location, with clients.

A more formal office may require a selection of business suits for everyday wear. Look at your colleagues, and consider adopting aspects of the styles of the best-dressed ones. Better yet, look at your higher-ups and aim toward the style and quality of their daily wear. Whatever your clothing choices, opt for the best quality and best fit your can afford; even in a casual atmosphere, you need to be able to stand out and look professional.

If your job requires physical labor, you need clothing that is comfortable, affords freedom of movement, and is rugged enough to stand up to hard wear. Jeans may be appropriate, or rugged work pants, paired with jerseys or work shirts. Make sure if you work with machinery your clothing can’t get caught in any moving parts, and if necessary, wear steel-toed shoes. If you don’t need protective footwear, a few rugged pairs of athletic shoes with ankle support can see you through a long day on your feet. If you work outdoors, the right outerwear is essential, especially in cold weather – make sure it allows for easy movement, keeps you warm, and breathes to prevent build-up of moisture. Of course, plenty of socks and underwear are a necessity.

Don’t Forget Maintenance!

Don’t forget to factor in the time and expense involving in maintaining your wardrobe. If your work involves wearing business suits, you can choose wash and wear suits that can be thrown into a washer and dryer and come out fine; or you may choose natural fibers which require dry cleaning. Wash and wear suits are getting better looking all the time, but a distinctively styled wool suit has a unique look that can’t be equaled. Whether you go for easy care or the highest quality dry-cleanable suits, you need to have enough suits to last through your scheduled laundry days or to cover your dry cleaners’ schedule.

The same goes for work clothes; if you have laundry facilities at home you can maintain your clothes easily in your off hours; if not, you need enough of a wardrobe to last you between laundry days. Whether you’re white collar or blue collar, making the best impression, all the time, will make a lasting favorable impression on your boss.

The most famous cotton extractors in the world extract; for example 6.7 tons cotton every year, from which the denim manufacturers alone are allotted around 3.4 billion tons of cotton to manufacture jeans apparel.
