Dressing On a Budget

Buying natural fibers is very important. Try to purchase classic styles on sale in better stores or consignment stores. Purchase cotton, silk, wool or cashmere pieces on sale or at consignment stores. Incredible buys can be found at consignment stores in upscale neighborhoods. Fit is of utmost importance. Always buy pieces for your wardrobe that fit well, if your sew you can alter pieces yourself. If you find a “must have” piece on sale it may be worth investing in alterations to create the perfect fit. Purchase the following items in your classic coordinated colors and mix and match:

Several pairs of flat front, boot leg cut trousers in tan, navy and black.
Boot leg cut trousers never go out of style and are flattering to all figure types.

A pair of boot leg cut jeans that have the waistband slightly below the waist.

A twinset in your complementing color, cashmere if at all possible. Check the consignment stores for this item.

A classic blouse in your complementing color, cream is a good choice here.

A skirt that is of a traditional A line cut.

Classic pumps with a medium heel.

One handbag, sometimes its good to splurge and buy a logo bag, be it Gucci or Coach. Logo bags go in and out of style but basically they upgrade your look and the quality is such that you can carry one for years.

White tee shirts of better quality cotton knit.

A man’s tailored white button down shirt.

A denim jacket.

Gold earrings, try to buy 10 carat gold, if not 14 carat gold.

A gold chain link necklace.

The above items are classic pieces and can usually be purchased at better stores at end of the season sales. Mixing and matching the above pieces will create a classic, signature look, that will make you look put together and elegant.

Find A Bra To Fit You

Your first step on how to find a bra to fit involves using a measuring tape. In order to ensure proper measurements are taken, you want to measure on a completely bare chest. First, take the measuring tape and measure around your rib cage, just beneath your breasts. When you’ve found this measurement, add either 4 or 5 inches in order to create an even number. The number you come up with indicates the appropriate band size for a bra that will fit you. This is especially important for plus sizes, because an ill fitting bra does not give them the comfort and support they need.

Secondly, how to find a bra to fit involves measuring the widest part of your bust. Slide the measuring tape around the middle of your back, and take care to hold it as steady as possible so you get an accurate number. Once you’ve done this, you’ll want to take note of the difference between the two measurements you’ve gotten thus far. For larger busted women, use the following numbers as a general guide to your cup size. If the number is 2 to 3 inches larger than your band size, you are a C cup. For D cups, your number will be 3 to 4 inches larger than your band size, and for DD or E cups your measurement will be 4 to 5 inches larger than your band size.

These measurements are very important for plus sizes, and determine how to find a bra to fit. Once you’ve secured these two measurements, you’ll want to select a variety of bras to try on that meet your size requirements. When you try on a bra, you’ll want to place your hands through the bra straps and bend over to allow your breasts to fall into the cups. With the exception of demibras or enhancers, the cups should fully contain your bust and your nipple should be centered in the fullest part of the bra.

When sizing up your bra, make sure that the band does not cut into your ribcage. It needs to be snug, but if it’s leaving visible marks on your skin the bra is too small. If the bra has a multi-hook closure, check to see if you can adjust that first before graduating to a larger size bra. When trying on bras, you may need to adjust the straps so that they feel comfortable to you. If you’re constantly pulling on the straps or your bust is falling out, your band size is too large and you’ll want to move to a smaller size.

Also keep in mind that when determining how to find a bra to fit, if the material between your breasts doesn’t lie flat, you’ll need to try a larger cup size. Conversely, if the material puckers or wrinkles you want to try a smaller cup size to ensure a great fitting bra. Subsequently, if the bra does not contain your breasts it’s too small, and if there are wrinkles in the cup material you’ll need to move down a cup size.

Wear Jewelry Watches

Prices

Jewelry watches are understandably expensive (from $5,000 to upwards of $20,000) because it takes time to find and match precious stones for your timepiece – these stones have to perfectly fit the design, need to be of the same clarity, color, and size, and are painstakingly handcrafted by artisans onto the watch.

How to Choose?

If you’re on the lookout for jewelry watches, your best bets would be the classics from the more popular name brands such as Rolex and Omega. If you aren’t looking to spend too much on your first jewelry watch, at least look for either a vintage model, which may give the impression that you’re a collector and that you chose that particular model because you searched far and wide for it, or find a piece that is freshly out in the market.

Pre-Owned Watches

Another alternative would be to purchase a pre-owned jewelry watch that is classified as a “classic.” A few examples of these jewelry watches are: models from the Christian Dior Mother-of-Pearl series or the Raymond Weil Parsifal for ladies, and the Breguet Classique for men. The Piaget Citea for ladies is also a good choice. It evokes understated elegance with its round yellow gold case, gold strap, and a simple yet stunning diamond-studded bezel.

White Gold

White gold is also an attractive alternative, such as the models in the Patek Philippe Twenty-4 Series. Its hands are set with a luminous coating to enable the owner to read the time in the dark. It is diamond-studded at the sides and a single-faceted diamond, approximately 0.05 carats, is set on the crown for a low-key but stylish effect.

A rose gold version of this model comes in a new dial color – Chocolate Dream – a warm and classy brown dial that enhances the case’s soft tone. The dials of both the rose gold and white gold editions are also set with diamonds that mark the hours, while gold roman numerals at 6 and 12 o’clock complete the look. The cases have a magnificent curved profile set onto hefty, solid bracelets whose clasps are decorated with the trademark Calatrava cross.

This attractive jewelry watch can set you back about $15,000 to $18,000, which is perhaps a good figure to start with when looking for a serious jewelry watch. However, the jewelry watch you choose doesn’t have to be ostentatious to be impressive. Choose a style that you’ll feel comfortable with. For jewelry watches, more may not necessarily be better.

Formal Dresses

When choosing the style of your dress, you may want to consider some of the styles that will flatter your figure the most. Strapless dresses can be used to draw attention to lovely shoulders, while some dresses are available that can promote an hourglass appearance.

Below you will find an array of choices when one is in need of a formal dress for that special occasion:

  1. Jacket Gown. When choosing a jacket gown for a formal event, you may prefer a dress selection with long sleeves, providing more coverage during your night out. Many of these gowns come in satin or lace options, offering a sexy yet still covered look.
  2. Velvet Gown. Velvet gowns, especially a chocolate-colored selection can make a statement. If you are interested in drawing attention away from the hip and waist area, choose a formal dress that features an empire waist.
  3. Lace Overlay Dress. Going for a classic look? Try a dress that offered a lace overlay bodice (preferably the color black) with a deep V in the front and back.
  4. Strapless Satin. For a nice streamlined look, consider this option where accessories can be used to the fullest effect. Long earrings and sparkling necklaces go well with this dress choice.

Get Inexpensive Women’s Clothing

One way to cut down on your women’s clothing bill is to have a clothing swap. Get together a group of your friends (preferably a group who wear similar sizes) and have everyone bring some gently used, in good condition, clothing. Separate the clothing by type (pants, shirts, etc) and size and let everyone choose among the clothing items. In this way, you can get a few new outfits (well, at least new to you!) without having to spend any additional money.

Another way to find inexpensive women’s clothing is to shop on line retailers. Many Internet stores are able to offer ladies’ clothing at reduced rates, because they can save on the costs of running a physical store. They also tend to offer many different styles by different clothing makers, so that comparison shopping can be easier than in a mall or store. If you don’t mind wearing items that may be previously worn, sites such as eBay offer even bigger bargains, with regular women posting unwanted items (sometimes even designer) at low prices.

Women’s clothing is not only about fashion or brand names – it’s also about practicality and frugality. If you’re facing buying many articles of clothing in the near future, using tips such as a clothing trade or hunting for bargains on the Internet can be a great way to save money.

Costume Jewelry

Costume Jewelry came into being in the 1930s as a cheap disposable jewelry meant to be worn with a specific outfit, but not meant to be handed down through generations. It was intended to be fashionable for a short period of time, out date itself, and then be repurchased to fit with a new outfit purchase, or with a new fashion style. It became available in large quantities during the 30s.

Cheap jewelry also existed prior to the 1930s. Paste or glass jewelry as far back as the 1700s. The rich had their fine jewelry duplicated for a variety of reasons, using paste or glass stones. By the mid 1800s with the growth of the middle class there were now different levels of jewelry being manufactured using fine, semi-precious and base materials. Fine jewelry of gold, diamonds, fine gems such as emeralds and saphires continued to be made. Jewelry from rolled gold, which is a thin layer of gold attached to a base metal, entered the market for the middle class. This jewelry was often set with semi-precious gems such as amethyst, coral or pearls, and was much more affordable. And then there was jewelry that most anyone could afford, consisting of glass stones and base metals made to look like gold. All three types were intended to be passed down to future generations.

There are usually clues that can help one identify what era a piece of jewelry is from. Style, material, the type of piece. For example dress clips came in in the 1930s and were out of style by the 1950s. Jewelry reflects styles, designs, colors and stones of the era. For example from 1910 to 1930 silver was the favorite color for metal, so jewelry was found in platinum, white gold, silver or a base metal colored to look like silver. By World War II, gold was popular again but in short supply, since it was vital to the war effort. What gold was available was made into very thin sheets and usually bonded to silver (called vermeil) before being turned into jewelry. By the 1930s rhinestones popularity was ever increasing in Europe. It was not available to the Americans until the 1940s. As a result, many of the pieces from this period tend to feature lots of metal and a single stone or a small cluster of tiny rhinestones.

Today is certainly not much different from past times. We still have fine jewelry, semi precious jewelry, and of course costume jewelry available to us. Costume jewelry can add the finishing touch and show your fashion sense. Costume Jewelry styles of past years are now becoming very fashionable and many are being reproduced. Even with costume jewelry there is a difference in quality. Many of the new pieces do not have the vibrance in the stones or the weight of the older pieces.

About Sexy Jeans for Oversized Women

Since there are many selections offered nowadays, the only concern is picking the right bottoms. There are some womens jeans today that are too skimpy and further show the problem areas of oversized women. If you are an avid fan of Oprah, you may have picked up already on the tips given by guests and clothing gurus, Trinny and Susannah: skimpy jeans don’t look good on any woman. Though magazine spreads, TV commercials, and billboards nowadays feature women in the latest slim jeans, the experts claim that no woman can carry those pants. However, loose-fitting, tapered, or so-called baggy pants won’t do good to the figure of an oversized woman, either. According to the duo, many American women make the mistake of being stuck in the 80s and wearing tapered pants. But, more often than not, badly fit pants make you look bigger than you intend to be.

The safer way toward fashion glam is to look for comfort in the cut. A good cut of womens jeans highlights just the right shapes and brings out the assets in your body and personality. Oversized women could choose flared or bootleg cuts so that their flabs, which are usually found in the mid-portion and thighs, could be balanced by the outward bottom part of the pants. Aside from the cut, oversized women can also be sexy by choosing the right style, design, or color for their pants. For curvaceous or voluptuous women who also have large butts to flaunt, pants without or less flambuoyant pockets could be worn for balance. As much as possible, light colors should also be avoided because these accentuate the heaviness of the oversized person. By just considering all these elements, oversized women can definitely look gorgeous in the hippest pair of jeans.

Info of Kimono

Women are most seen wearing the kimono. They are worn for many occasions and are considered a tradition for most. Girls will wear one when they attend anything that is tied to the arts. A younger girl and single women wear a more colorful style of Kimono with longer sleeves and tied with a bright colored sash. A Kimono is made with material that has a simple pattern and is more plain and casual in style.

At weddings, the bride and the groom will go through a series of clothing changes using Kimono. A shiromuku is a heavy white Kimono that has great detail etched in it. The groom will wear a black one that is made from silk and will carry the family crest called a hakama or a pleated skirt. They will also wear a short coat called a haori.

Usually in the Japanese culture, when there is a funeral to attend, the men and the women will wear a black kimono to show respect. When a man is going to a funeral, it is custom for them to wear a black tie and for a wedding they have to wear a white tie. This is the only way that a person will know where the man is going when wearing a black kimono.

The mother will pass down the tradition of putting on a kimono to her daughter. There are however, special classes that will teach the occasions and the art of putting on one of these beautiful pieces of clothing. Most of the time a Kimono is made from silk, wool or another man made fiber. It will depend on the month and the weather as to which one will be worn and when.

There is an art to putting on the Kimono and it has to be done correctly. The first thing to do is put on the white socks called the tabi. Next are the undergarments and then the wrap around skirt. Finally comes the kimono with the left side over the right side and it tied with an Obi.

It is essential that a person who wears a kimono know when to wear it and the proper way to put it on the body. This is part of a culture and is important to understand before putting one on.

Fall and Winter Fashion

Fall and winter fashion trends have seen a shift the last 2 years. Bright colors have been replaced with darker tones meant to emphasize more of the individual than the look. As fashion drifted into the scenester and retro stylings now found in clubs, parties, and concerts, winter and fall styles were slow to react. For the longest time bright multi-colored attire especially with holiday themes ruled American fashion.

However the step towards retro ushered in fashionable conflict as looks and closets often clashed between bright winters and subtle summers.

Now that the stars are aligned, Triple Five Soul and FashionVault bring you the brand sure to make holiday hits whether you give or receive.

Colors Most of the items are light brown, khaki, or dark grey.

Hats They feature traditional fitted caps along with the Minnesota caps (earmuffs attached to a hat) to Revolution caps (Che Guevara style).

When choosing a dress, choose something which has just one colour, and best to choose dark colours, this will give you a streamlined effect. To elongate your body, choose a dress with a short skirt and make sure you wear a pair of heels as this is the biggest thing you can do to make yourself taller! Keep things simple for the most amazing effect.

Here are a few tips:

  • Keep prints in proportion to you figure, no bigger then the palm of your hand, otherwise you will look like a clown.
  • Wear 3/4 sleeves, on dresses, shirts and jumpers.
  • Avoid too much jewelry, or at least heavy jewellery.
  • When layering, wear light weight materials like cotton, linen and especially silks.
  • Wear monochromatic colours.
  • When wearing separates avoid contrasting colours such as a navy skirt and a white top, go for an all-in-one colour way.
  • Keep in mind that the more fitted the look, the more flattering it will be.

If you are petite, then there are many options for you but the best is something figure-hugging and knee length.
